but it’s pretty nice.

Uruguay claims to be the most European like country in South America, so let’s just consider this a toast to its heritage. Also, blog rule 103 comes into play: It’s my blog and I can do what I want. :)

Pitingo is Spanish, from Ayamonte to be exact. He creates a fabulous blend of music he’s dubbed, Flamingo Soul. This fusion is just what it the name implies, traditional flamingo combined at times with a dash of classical soul riffs and melodies.

Here are a couple of safe, tested links to hear and see this amazing artist. While these two tunes tend to be way on the soulful side, his CDs and performances are based on fiery traditional flamingo with subtle contemporary twists. The musician you’re about to hear is perhaps my favorite discovery in the last year.
